SureSmile®
Using SureSmile, Dr. Williamson uses the most sophisticated orthodontic technology available. He uses simulated movements to forcast the best fit of the tooth positions by referring to the 3-D images of your teeth, roots, and braces. Then he will customizes each patient’s archwires SureSmile archwires help to finely adjust the points and groves of your teeth into the best functional relationship. This allows him to precisely forcast your treatment and tooth movements. Robotically, manufactured space-age, archwires are made to gently guide all the teeth into these positions with precision. He is one of the first orthodontists to use this system in the Twin Cities, and teaches this system to the Orthodontic Residents at the University of Minnesota.

ClearCorrect®, Invisalign®, Simpli5, and Red-White-Blue®
The alternative ways to move teeth using clear, customized removable appliances called aligners.These systems do not have the ability to make the same movements as braces and SureSmile. Therefore, they are a good solution for minor or less complicated tooth movements such as minor crowding, spaces between teeth, or orthodontic relapse (movement of teeth after retainers have been discontinued). Only an orthodontist can determine if this treatment is an effective option for you.
Dr. Williamson can give you the necessary information on the limitations of tooth movements with each appliance system. He will help you decide on the type of appliance which can best treat your particular bite or alignment problem.
