Your Informed Choice and Consent
We are committed to educating our patients and giving them the necessary information to make an informed choice for care. Informed Choice and Consent is important and necessary part of your care. Even though some family dentists, cosmetic dentists, or pediatric dentists use braces and Invisalign type systems, they do not have the educational qualifications or recognized training to correct unplanned or unexpected movements, to give you accurate information on the limitations of each appliance system, or the outcome compromises anticipated with certain orthodontic appliances. Always have a University trained Orthodontist Specialist give an opinion prior to starting care, even limited care. It is the only way for you to have accurate and valid "informed" consent.
